Grundarfjörður, is one of that places you imagine when you think about how Icelandic village should look like. Nice and cozy houses, clean streets and perfect landscape, a visit in Grundarfjörður is unforgettable.

From every corner of the town, Mt. Kirkjufell (The mountain church) is dominating the landscape. Kirkjufell 412m gives the village its special character and its also one of Iceland's most famous natural monuments.

Like many towns in Iceland, every year the town holds a festival that drives people from all around Iceland and abroad alike. Beer and music are joined together in a weekend of a beautiful sunny summer.
Right in the center of the town, behind the fish factory lined in rows, picnic tables that are filled with happy people celebrating.
