The final solution

I don't know what's wrong with me, I think I'm under some kind of evil curse or bad omen. It seems that everywhere I go, bad things happen.

I think it all started back in NY. The bank I was working with suddenly bankrupt, some of you you probably heard of it, Washington Mutual. Yes, fucking WM.

After I moved to Iceland, I join the local bank Landsbanki. I chose this bank because the office of this bank looked a lot more solid and stronger that the other banks. I thought to myself, this looks like a fortress, this bank will never collapse. It took it approximately 5 months since I opened my account there until it went bankrupt.

I started to think it wasn't a coincidence anymore.

Iceland at the time was one of the richest countries in the world. It was known as the "jewel of Europe", "the diamond of Scandinavia", who would thought that something like that could have happened.

It must be my fault.

Than, few days ago while I was still enjoying the beautiful Israeli winter, going to the beach, getting some tan in the backyard. I heard on the news the Iceland credit rate went down to "junk" after the President Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, refused to sign the Icesave deal.

Now, you have to understand. Iceland was never a source of bad news, (not until I moved there at least) and for me as an Israeli who is used to hearing bad news about Israel all the time, that was a refreshing change and somewhat scary.

I mean, we are talking about Iceland, for God sake! Frickin' Iceland!

If you would have asked me 3 years ago, where was the place you would least expect to hear bad news from. Iceland who definitely top the list, together with some other "no where" places in the world like Micronesia and Easter islands, maybe.

But, no. The only thing I didn't take under consideration is that my special halo is following me wherever I go, even to Iceland (and if it was possible even to the moon).

I call to the Icelandic government to reconsider extending my visa. The solution for all your problems can be a lot simpler and cheaper than what you expect. I'm telling you this in good faith, you have been warned.
